A native to northwest Europe, this perennial herb is a fragrant member of the mint family. Wild Thyme forms a dense groundcover growing only 6-12" high. The tiny purple flowers also attract many bee species.
Wild Thyme is a hardy subshrub and is perfect for a lovely groundcover, border, cottage garden, or xeriscape. This plant can tolerate low moisture and poor soil. Wild Thyme is not the true culinary thyme, but an undomesticated cousin. FAST FACTS
