HOW TO GROW
Sowing: Direct sow on the surface of the soil in late fall for early spring germination. To plant Snow in Summer seeds in the spring, direct sow in the surface of the soil and keep lightly moist until germination, which should take place within 10-15 days.
Growing: This plant thrives in poor or rocky soil, and prefers well drained to dry conditions; it tolerates heat, but prefers moderate temperatures. When grown in partial shade, the plant grows slightly taller with fewer blossoms and less silvery foliage. Water seedlings occasionally until they become established. Since these plants tolerate drought well, watering should not be necessary once they mature. Excess moisture or humidity may cause disease. In good growing conditions this plant will spread vigorously, and has been considered invasive in some regions. Unless the seed is being saved, cut the plant back after blooming for neat growth; it can also tolerate being mowed. After several seasons, the plants may be divided in spring or fall. This Snow in Summer plant makes a good choice for rock gardens, borders, rock walls, or as a stunning native ground cover. Deer avoid this plant.
Harvesting: This attractive plant is best displayed in the outdoors, since it does not make a suitable cut flower.
Seed Saving: When the tiny seed pods of this plant begin to dry and contain mature seed, shake the pods over a container to release the seed. This will have to be repeated after several days, since the pods may ripen at different rates. Store Snow in Summer flower seeds in a cool, dry place.

Prolific seeds
I received my snow in summer seeds in a matter of days. I couldn't believe how quickly they came. I ordered the same seeds last year and got good results. I am aiming for the look of a field of snow!
Snow in Summer (perennial)
Didn't have much luck with these this spring, but I bought more seeds anyway to plant this fall.
Looking forward to next spring
The product was packaged well and arrived early. I am looking forward to seeing them bloom next spring.
Great Service
The website was easy to work, the products are thoroughly explained, the order came quickly, packed in long storage envelopes (in case you don't plant right away} and instructions were clear and concise and on the package.
Excellent Germination
My front yard is sloped and faces WNW. The neighbors across the street removed to large trees and my Periwinkle/English Ivy mix couldn't take the sun, the top 75% of the slope died out. I planted the seeds in flats until they were mature enough to transplant to the freshly tilled slope. The germination rate was exceptional in the flats. After transplanting to the yard, mulching and watering for a season these plant took off. The next year I had blooms and I didn't have to water them as much because they started providing their own shade on the soil. By the third year they needed no care and filled in very nicely. They are absolutely stunning when they bloom in spring and from a distance they really do look like a dusting of snow. I have never fertilized these plants and they thrive. Now that they are filled out, I hardly water then either. I wish I could post a few pictures, they are a wonderful groundcover for a slope that drains well.
