HOW TO GROW
Sowing: In late fall, scatter the seed 1/4" deep and compact the soil lightly. Keep the soil moist until germination. For spring planting, mix swamp marigold seeds with moist sand and store it in the refrigerator for 60 days before planting. Thin or transplant the seedlings.
Growing: This plant adapts well to many soil types, but does not do well in sand. Though it tolerates some drought, it will benefit from regular watering. For the best blooming performance, remove wilted flowers to allow for new ones. In good growing conditions, this plant will reseed and may spread rapidly to the point of being invasive; to prevent reseeding, cut it down after flowering. This plant attracts butterflies, bees, and many beneficial insects.
Harvesting: For fresh flowers, cut the stems at ground level and place them in water immediately.
Seed Saving: Since small birds and rodents love to eat these Bidens Aristosa Mutica seeds, harvest them promptly to avoid loss. Mature heads will be dark brown; remove them and separate the seed from the husk. Store swamp marigold seeds in a cool, dark place.

Disagree on information
You have bidens listed as not found in Colorado. I bought the annual last year at a local greenhouse and put it in a pot. It grew beautifully. I noticed last year it speed to another container. I thought oh well more color. This year I have it growing WILD in the rocks against my house on the side I had the pot on. We are talking half the length of my house. I've pulled up at least 15 separate plants. I live in Monte Vista, Colorado. It's a mountain Valley. Very cool temperatures especially where this is growing in the shade. Only a little morning sun. Thought I'd give you a heads up! Update your info maybe.
