HOW TO GROW
Sowing: Direct sow Agastache seeds for sale on the surface of the soil in late fall. For spring planting, mix the anise hyssop seeds with moist sand and store in the refrigerator for 30 days before planting. To start the seed indoors, sow the seed on the surface of the soil in a flat; keep the soil temperature between 70-75 degrees F with consistent moisture until germination.
Growing: This plant can be very drought tolerant and loves hot weather, but reaches its full potential with regular watering. It will not tolerate soggy, wet soil; it prefers sandy or rocky soil with good drainage. It easily reseeds itself, but unwanted volunteer plants can easily be moved or transplanted. Established plants can be divided. This plant attracts bees, hummingbirds, butterflies, and beneficial insects.
Harvesting: Fresh leaves can be individually harvested for tea, salads, or medicinal use throughout the growing season; in the morning after the dew has dried is the best time for harvesting. Take individual leaves first from the bottom of the stem and work up to the top. Do not remove more than 60% of the Anise Hyssop plant at any one time. To harvest entire stalks for drying, cut them 2-3" from the ground and hang them upside down to dry.
Seed Saving: When the flower spikes begin to dry and turn brown, remove them and spread them out to dry; thresh them to remove the seed. Shaking the entire plant's seed heads into a container is also effective, but the process should be repeated daily until all the seed has matured. Store the anise hyssop seeds in a cool, dry place.

Should be good like all the rest...
I really can't write a review on these seeds yet, because they are to be planted for next year. All I can say is that I always come back to Everwilde Farms Inc. for most of my seeds because they are always good seeds. The packaging is beautiful, and the seeds are always quickly mailed to me. I love that there is a Bible verse on each seed package. I'm expecting these seeds to be as good as all my previous purchases. Thank you.

Great product, on time, well packaged

Wildflower seeds
The seeds arrived promptly and as advertised. I'm waiting until the weather cools down more before I sow them. I'll have to revisit this review next June when my side yard is awash in hyssop and little bluestem.

anise hyssop seeds
I haven't planted these seeds yet! Going to wait just a few more weeks, but very excited to get them started and hope my honeybees love them!!
Very quick to ship!!
Fantastic germination (moist stratified in fridge)
Tough little plants, growing steadily. Hope to see second year blooms.
Excellent source to buy wild flower seeds
This is my second time ordering seeds and they are very timely and professional in their response to my order. Seeds appear good quality. I have planted some seeds in spring and waiting for results. I will plant the recent order in this fall.
Bumble bee crack cocaine!
I have one gigantic plant this year that grew
from a maybe 12 inch plant I put in late last
year. No idea why it grew into a gigantic bush
but there are dozens and dozens of flower
spikes and dozens of bumblebees.
I grow approx 40 species of flowering plants all
of which are supposed to be pollinator magnets.
But I can say without hesitation that the bumbles are totally all about this anise hyssop
Agastache foeniculum. Just wild. My neighbours are not getting cucumbers or zuchini this year because all the pollinators are
at my place. Quite bizarre. Who knew that
bumbles were so one track minded when they find what they are unable to resist.
DESCRIPTION
Herbalists use this member of the mint family for culinary purposes, since the leaves make an excellent tea and the flowers are also edible. Native to the north central United States, anise hyssop (Agastache foeniculum) is a traditional medicinal plant of the Native Americans; its leaves have antibacterial benefits that have been used treat colds, coughs, or poor digestion. Because of the subtle anise flavor it gives honey, Agastache foeniculum became popular with colonists, who planted anise hyssop seeds near bee hives. We also offer various other kinds of hyssop wildflower seeds online.
